Born and brought up in Delhi, the author-cum-poet, Priya Shiva has the influences of North Indian as well as South Indian cultures. She has placed herself excellently in the art as well as creative pursuits and she loves reflecting the dimensions of life through her writing. Her talents include being an accomplished Bharatanatyam dancer, self-taught painter and is an excellent cook; the latter reflects on her personal blog- Priya Kitchenette.
Her blog is active throughout the year with incredible dosages of creativity and taste experiments; the same has earned her numerous accolades like
India’s best food and drink blog award and a place in the India book of records. Popular for her blog, she shares the same knowledge through workshops and is known as a food stylist.

Her blog reflects other aspects of her life like travel experiences and human emotions. This is her debut book and is a combined reflection of fantasy, romance, and fairy tales; the theme revolves around the belief of fairy tales and the happily ever after.
